Gugudan's Soi (Jang So-jin) announces August wedding to lawyer fiancé Yu Jong-min

Jang So-jin — stage name Soi, 30 — posted wedding photos on Instagram and confirmed her engagement to lawyer Yu Jong-min. The ceremony is set for August.

"I have made a promise to spend my whole life with someone who has made my life more meaningful," she wrote. "Every moment I spend with him, I discover myself smiling endlessly."

She described becoming "most natural and comfortable" with him and asked fans to "watch over this unfamiliar but beautiful beginning with a warm heart."

Former Gugudan members flooded the comments. Kang Mi-na: "You must be crazy, you're so pretty." Mimi posted "Welcome to married life sushi — congratulations on your marriage" (a Korean pun: yubucho-bap, married-person sushi roll).

Soi debuted with Gugudan in 2016 as the group's main vocalist after a lengthy trainee period. Gugudan disbanded in December 2020. She reverted to her legal name, Jang So-jin, in 2022 and has worked as an actress since.
