Dayoung walked away with the Main Award and Best Solo Award at the 35th Seoul Music Awards on June 20 at Incheon Inspire Arena.

Dayoung (우주소녀/WJSN) took home two awards at the 35th Seoul Music Awards on June 20 at Incheon Inspire Arena: the Main Award and Best Solo Award.
She performed What's a girl to do — her second digital single from April — with table-based choreography in a fuller arrangement. Then came body, her solo debut track, which closed out her set.
Body had already charted strongly. It hit No. 1 on music broadcasts, peaked at No. 9 on the Melon TOP100, and landed at No. 17 on the monthly chart. Her solo career began in September last year with gonna love me, right?, her first digital single. Forbes, NME, FOX 13 Seattle, and MTV channels across multiple countries covered the debut. By year-end, The Hollywood Reporter, NME, and Billboard all featured her on their 2025 Best K-pop lists.
"What I feel most strongly these days is that I really love the stage," she said during her acceptance remarks. On the double win: "Just being on the Seoul Music Awards stage as a solo artist is moving, and I'm truly grateful and honored."
She thanked her official fan club, Woojung (우정), for their support. (Two awards, two performances, and a Melon top-10 — the solo era is not slowing down.)
Dayoung performs at Waterbomb Seoul 2026 on July 26.
