A year into her solo career, WJSN's Dayoung won Best Solo Artist (Female) at KGMA 2025, riding a cable broadcast #1 and Waterbomb festival stages across Asia.

WJSN member Dayoung (임다영, 26) took home Best Solo Artist (Female) at KGMA 2025. The award came roughly a year after her debut digital single, gonna love me, right?, dropped on September 9, 2025.
Her title track body hit No. 1 on a cable music broadcast. That's the clearest signal her first solo cycle landed. In 2026 she released a second digital single, What's a girl to do, writing and composing every track herself. She also teamed with Park Jae Beom on FLIRTY, marking her first collaboration.
Dayoung debuted with WJSN on February 25, 2016, on the group's first mini-album WOULD YOU LIKE?. The lineup included Seola, Bona, Exy, Subin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Yeoreum, and Yeonjung. She built a reputation within the group for live stability, especially on 너에게 닿기를 (I Wish).
Her solo run extended to festivals. She performed at Waterbomb Seoul, Sokcho, and Gaohsiung, with a solo set at Waterbomb Gaohsiung 2026 drawing international attention.
(The résumé also includes a youngest-ever championship on MBC's Mystery Music Show Mask King episode 121 under a pseudonym, a Thursday hosting slot on NOW.'s audio show Avengirls from 2020 to 2021, acting credits in KakaoTV's Love Revolution as Oaram in 2020, a special appearance as Chaeni in tvN's True Beauty in 2021, and a forward position on Goal-Kicking Girls' FC Top Girl Movement.)
On September 20 she posted a mirror selfie in a red cap and sporty outfit. The kind of low-key update that tends to follow a big night.
