Ga-hee's June 29 MV for 'Psalm 24 King of Glory' splits viewers over K-pop-style choreography in a Christian music project.

Ga-hee dropped the music video for 시편 24편 King of Glory on June 29 through Christian content channel '들어볼까'. The response was immediate and divided.
The track belongs to the Psalm 150 Project, an ongoing series reinterpreting biblical psalms as contemporary music. Lyricist An Yeon-jae wrote the words. K-pop producer Nam Hyung-gwan and singer-songwriter ZHMI handled composition. Infinius, a CCM specialist label, distributed the audio.
The MV sparked the real debate. Ga-hee performs in a midriff-baring crop top alongside a dance crew, with choreography built around chest and hip movements—full K-pop performance style. Viewers split immediately. Some called it "fresh" and "not like typical CCM," noting the format could pull in younger audiences who'd normally skip praise music. Others weren't convinced. "Was this choreography really necessary for a praise song?" one comment read. Another: "the costume and performance catch the eye before the song." Some flagged concerns about the production being "overly unconventional for religious music."
Ga-hee defended the choice directly. "I hoped it would become music that people without faith and young friends could approach without burden," she said. She wanted it to "naturally become a channel to spread the gospel."
She debuted with After School in 2009 and served as the group's leader. These days she runs a dance academy called Gise Crew and has been active in Christian broadcasting and faith-based music work.
