Nyamnyam Entertainment confirms Hwang Young-woong's KBS2 drama OST drops July 14, with the full studio version arriving July 17.

Hwang Young-woong's OST track 사랑한다면 and its music video went live July 14 on music streaming sites and YouTube. This came roughly three years after school violence allegations forced him off MBN's 불타는 트롯맨 mid-finals. A full recording studio version follows July 17. The teaser, out since July 10, had already reached No. 10 on YouTube's Hype chart.
OST production company Nyamnyam Entertainment said the track will not appear in the drama itself — 사랑을 처방해 드립니다 on KBS2 — but the recording was complete, so they chose to release it anyway. "We reviewed the existing controversies thoroughly and determined there were no issues with his vocal participation," the company said. Casting decisions were based on musical ability and vocal skill. The company also stated the OST matter "is entirely unrelated to KBS" and asked that criticism not be directed at the broadcaster.
Hwang had been a frontrunner on 불타는 트롯맨 in 2023, ranking first in the first round of the finals, before withdrawing ahead of the live second round. That second-round stage was recorded but cut entirely from broadcast. In 2016 he received a 500,000-won fine via prosecutorial summary indictment for assault. His agency released his high school academic records in January 2026 to contest the school violence allegations. Since leaving the show he has continued through nationwide solo concert tours and fan meetings. He appeared publicly at the 2026 대한민국 한류연예대상 on May 23, 2026.
