Jeon Yu-jin tops Trotpick female vote; Son Tae-jin duet out in July

Jeon Yu-jin took first place in the female singer category of the Trotpick Weekly Vote for June 29 to July 5, finishing with 231,730 points.

The 2006-born singer got her start at the Pohang Beach National Song Festival and debuted in 2020 with the digital single 사랑…하시렵니까?. She placed runner-up in the finals of the "Trot is Good" special on KBS2's 노래가 좋아 before winning the final championship on MBN's 현역가왕 in 2024. That win led to the commemoration mini-album Only You (온리유) and a slot on the 2024 현역가왕 national tour concert. She then returned to the show as a judge on 현역가왕2.

Jeon signed an exclusive contract with J-Label in October of last year. She released 어린 잠 and 가요 가요. She also put out the KBS2 weekend drama 독수리 5형제를 부탁해! OST track 그대도 나처럼, and in July she dropped the duet single 이제 내가 지킬게요 with Son Tae-jin.

In the same June 29–July 5 voting window, Kim Hee-jin won the Spotlight Star category with 39,690 points. Kim spent roughly five years as a chorus singer before reaching TOP 8 on 내일은 미스트롯 in 2019 and making her official solo debut with the single 차마 in 2020. Moon Tae-jun, known from 미스터트롯3, claimed the Supernova category with 140,030 points. His first round on SBS Love FM's 인생은 오디션 is scheduled for July 13.

The 93rd round of voting runs July 6–12, with five male candidates: Park Gun, Park Hyung-seok, Son Tae-jin, Shin Sung, and Yoon Tae-hwa. Weekly winners get an online article. The top finisher from each of four consecutive rounds earns a Seodaemun digital billboard support.
