On July 12, KT announced a new advertising campaign with actor Kim Woo-bin as its face. The series is called 요즘은 이렇게 — roughly, "How It Is These Days."
First up: Genie TV 모든G (Genie TV All G). The product bundles live broadcasts, drama and entertainment reruns, and new movies into one subscription. Kim Woo-bin watches content through the service in the spot, which will air on YouTube, digital channels, and TV.
KT picked him for his approachable, sincere image across his acting roles. That aligns with what the company says it stands for: customer-centric values. The campaign frames itself around matching products to how customers' lives and needs change.
"We planned this with KT's 'customer-centric' philosophy of carefully observing customers' changing daily lives and needs and providing practical value," said Kim Young-gyeol, KT's Executive Vice President of the Customer Business Division.
More ads under the 요즘은 이렇게 banner will follow, each tied to different aspects of how customers live now. The company hasn't announced when.
KT's stock closed at 54,200 won on July 10, down 3,800 won from the prior session's 58,000 won.
