Red Velvet announces summer mini album 'Velvet Summer' for August 3

Red Velvet's summer mini album Velvet Summer lands on August 3 across music platforms and in physical form.

Two tracks have surfaced in preview. Hot Girls Cold Vibe is a pop dance number built on addictive bass and guitar sounds with a twist in its beat development — KENZIE, a longtime Red Velvet collaborator, handled songwriting and composition. Orchestra takes American film composer Henry Mancini's "Lujon" and reframes it with a contemporary sensibility.

The group dropped mood clips on the 20th and 22nd at midnight via official SNS, each carrying instrumental audio samples from the two tracks. Teaser images set against a deep, dark night sea were released alongside them.

Two tracks confirmed. A physical and digital drop on the same day. KENZIE back in the writing room. Velvet Summer is shaping up fast.
