Yeri posted a Japanese-language Instagram caption on Nov. 7 reflecting on her time in Tokyo, following a packed 2026 that included a drama lead and group comeback.

Tokyo trip, one Instagram caption
Yeri posted "2026tokyosiawasedesita" to Instagram on November 7. A Japanese-language sign-off on what has been a genuinely busy year. The Red Velvet maknae (Kim Ye-rim, 27) joined the group through their first mini album Ice Cream Cake in 2015, and she has been stacking credits ever since.
2026 alone brought the lead role of Seo An-na in drama Azure Spring, participation in Red Velvet's summer mini album Velvet Summer, and a credit on the SMTOWN project album Surfin' Boy Remixes. She also held a solo birthday party — ACT 1 : YERIM 2026 B-Day Party — in March.
The acting résumé behind the downtime
Yeri's screen work goes back to 2021. She played Hong Chae-ri in the tvN short drama Drama Stage – Mint Condition, then took the lead as Oh Ha-rin in web drama Blue Birthday that same year. By 2023 she was playing Choi Eun-seo in KBS 1TV's Applause and Baek Je-na in web drama Cheongdam International High School. That second role earned her two awards: the 2023 Brand of the Year Award in the Acting Dol (Female) category and the 2023 SEOULCON APAN STAR AWARDS Web Drama Female Acting Award.
She also starred in horror film Exorcism: Ghost Play and appeared in Red Velvet Happiness Diary: My Dear, Reve Lup in Cinema.
On variety, she hosted a music program in 2015. Fixed cast member on a variety show in 2018. Nature-themed program in 2019. Solo MC on a web variety show in 2020. Her YouTube channel, opened in 2022 and covering vlogs, music, and daily life, had cleared 100,000 subscribers and 1 million cumulative views as of April 2026.
(For a maknae who joined mid-cycle eleven years ago, the range here is not nothing.)
Cheer the story
