Seulgi shared photos from a Guangzhou fan meeting and told followers she's preparing new music and doing well.

Red Velvet's Seulgi (강슬기, 31) posted photos from a Guangzhou fan meeting, offering fans their first real update in weeks.
"I was happy thanks to ReVeluv whom I met in Guangzhou after a long time. Thank you," she wrote alongside the images.
Back on June 21, she'd already addressed the worry head-on: "Were you worried? I've been eating well, sleeping well, and preparing an album. I'm doing well." She thanked messages from fans, members, family, and company staff for the support and asked followers to stop worrying.
Her YouTube channel High Seulgi (하이슬기) went dark twice in June and has flagged July uploads. She also talks to fans through a separate audio show, 슬기.zip.
Seulgi debuted with Red Velvet on the 2014 single Happiness (행복). She's the group's main dancer and lead vocalist, working alongside Irene, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. Her solo career kicked off with the 2022 mini-album 28 Reasons, which won the K Global Heart Dream Award at the 2023 Heart Dream Awards. The 2025 mini-album Accidentally On Purpose came next, featuring Weakness, a track she co-wrote.
2025 has been packed. She collaborated with Kim Wan-sun on Lucky. She contributed to the SMTOWN 30th anniversary album track Thank You. She appeared as a featured artist on Perfect Error. OST credits stack up too: Polaroid (Eojjeoda Sajang 3), 기억속에 너와 (Doctor Slump), and 넌 기쁨이자 행운이야 (Fubao and Grandpa). (She first stepped in front of a camera for the 2017 web drama Let's Walk on Flower Road.)
With an album in the works and the Guangzhou reunion now public, her next move feels imminent.
