SEVENTEEN unit V8 debuts on MCountdown with 'singasong', hits 500K sales in 3 days

V8, the SEVENTEEN unit pairing Vernon and The8, made their live performance debut on Mnet MCountdown on July 2. They ran through two tracks from their mini-album: singasong and rat race.

The first stage sat inside a retro SF concept. Vernon and The8 performed singasong with a dancer crew, soufflé dance as the point choreography. rat race built around cube structures and group choreography to match the song's theme.

Their debut mini-album V8 was produced with Mechatok, KIRARA, and Dylan Brady. Three days after release, cumulative sales hit 500,000 copies. The album landed on China's QQ Music digital album sales chart and other overseas charts. The title track singasong climbed to No. 3 on Instagram's trending audio chart via a shuffle dance challenge.

(Half a million in three days for a unit debut is a number worth sitting with.)

V8 will continue promotions on KBS2 Music Bank and MBC Show! Music Core. Solo concerts are scheduled for July 11–12 in Goyang and July 17–19 in Hong Kong under the title 2026 VERNON THE 8 'V8' LIVE.
