Song Gain drops new single and shares YouTube collab behind-the-scenes with Hong Ji-yun

Song Gain dropped her new single 꽃이 아니면 어떤가 on June 2 across music platforms. A few days later came the YouTube moment.

On June 6, she posted a video titled "Why Are We So Alike? Miss Trot winner Song Gain and Hyunyeok Gawang winner Hong Ji-yun — a real-talk trot sisters episode." The same day, Instagram got photos captioned "Jiyun and I are YouTube meal friends" with a note that filming happened "at Chef Jung Ho-young's Caden." Hong Ji-yun replied in the comments: "hihi" plus a heart emoji.

Song Gain launched her official YouTube channel in April 2025. She's grown it from 100,000 subscribers to over 160,000. Among the uploads: a cover of Golden, the OST from Netflix's K-pop Demon Hunters. She also held a concert in Vietnam in May, meeting overseas fans for the first time through the channel era.

Hong Ji-yun won MBN's Hyunyeok Gawang 3 and has been running a nationwide tour since a Seoul opener in March. The tour spans 15 cities: Seoul, Incheon, Cheongju, Ulsan, Changwon, Daegu, Suwon, Wonju, Busan, Gwangju, Seongnam, Jeonju, Goyang, Yongin, and Daejeon.
