STAYC's Si-eun wraps musical debut as Songhwa in 'Seoponje', rejoins group for comeback
STAYC's Si-eun marked the end of her first musical role with a thank-you post, then pivots straight into the group's sixth single.
STAYC main vocalist Si-eun (박시은, 24) posted a photo with a Seoponje cake on July 21. She'd just finished her run as Songhwa, the protagonist of the musical Seoponje—her first-ever stage role.
"Thank you, Songhwa, for making me feel rich-hearted," she wrote. The caption added "I love Seoponje" and a direct note to fans: "Thank you for supporting and loving me."
This isn't her first time in front of cameras. She led EBS children's drama Pluto Secret Society as Jin Seon-mi. She played young Woo Seo-ri in SBS's Still 17. Films Today's Love and Golden Slumber both featured her—as Kang Jun-hee and Jeon Seon-yeong respectively. A terrestrial broadcast year-end awards ceremony gave her a youth acting award.
But the calendar's about to get crowded. STAYC—Si-eun, Su-min, Aisa, Se-eun, Yoon, and Jae-i—drops their sixth single 2:LOVE on the 16th. It's been roughly 11 months since their last release. Once Seoponje wraps, Si-eun heads straight into comeback mode: music broadcasts, concerts, content runs. (Two careers, one schedule.)
