Suzy marks 10 years with GUESS, shares in-car photo to celebrate the anniversary

Suzy posted a photo taken inside a car on July 2 to mark her 10th anniversary with GUESS.

Born October 10, 1994, in Buk-gu, Gwangju, she's the second of three children. Her father competed in taekwondo; her mother runs a kimbap restaurant.

She entered the industry through Mnet Superstar K's Gwangju regional audition and was cast on-site as a JYP Entertainment trainee. About a year later, she debuted in four-member girl group miss A alongside Jia, Fei, and Min as the youngest member and main vocalist. Their debut track Bad Girl Good Girl hit No. 1 on music broadcasts. The group released Breathe and Touch among other hits.

Her solo work spans Yes No Maybe, HOLIDAY, SObeR, 행복한 척, and 다른 사람을 사랑하고 있어.

On screen, she started with KBS 2TV's Dream High in 2011, then appeared in Architecture 101—a role that earned her the nickname "nation's first love." She has hosted the Baeksang Arts Awards for 10 consecutive years starting in 2016.

Her giving runs deep. From 2011 to 2014 she donated 10 million won per year (40 million won total) for pediatric cancer and leukemia patients. In 2015 she pledged 100 million won over five years and joined the Honor Society. She has made multiple additional donations of roughly 100 million won each for forest fire recovery, flood victim support, and pediatric critical care treatment.
