Yeri shares ocean-set photos with cryptic caption hinting at upcoming drama work

Red Velvet's Yeri posted a set of ocean-themed photos this week, pairing them with a cryptic written passage: "The ocean was always a place that swallowed all silence, but the day that boy dove into the sea, everything changed."

The caption continues: "Beneath the surface, five pairs of eyes watched his every move. It was at that very moment that their dangerous curiosity began." No context followed, but the imagery aligns with her acting work. She's currently preparing for drama Insiders and has another project lined up for 2026.

Yeri is 26 and the youngest member of Red Velvet, which also includes Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. She joined in 2015 with the group's first mini album Ice Cream Cake. Her acting credits span dramas, films, and web series: Mint Condition (Hong Chae-ri), web drama Blue Birthday (Oh Ha-rin), Applause (Choi Eun-seo), Cheongdam International High School (Baek Je-na), film Exorcism (Park Ja-young), and Azure Spring (Seo An-na).

On variety, she co-hosted MBC's Show! Music Core with Minho and N. She appeared on Secret Unni and SBS's Law of the Jungle in Lost Island, and ran her own web variety show Yeri's Bang.

Her work has earned recognition. At the 2023 Brand of the Year Awards she won Acting Idol (Female). At the 2023 SEOULCON APAN STAR AWARDS she took the Web Drama Female Acting Award for Cheongdam International High School. Two awards in one year for the same role.

With Insiders in prep and a 2026 title coming, the underwater imagery in her caption may be hinting at what's next.
