eaJ drops 'feel myself,' first single off October EP 'the responsibility of being in love'

eaJ released feel myself on August 14. It's the first of two pre-release singles building toward his EP the responsibility of being in love, out October 23.

Drums and synthesizers anchor the track. eaJ wrote it "about [his] struggle over the past year with maturing and the journey of slowly finding [his] way back." He continued: "It opens the EP, which captures my journey toward restoring my mental health and growing as a person."

A second pre-release single, blinded, arrives September 18.

feel myself comes roughly 11 months after put it on me, released in September 2025. His solo catalog since leaving DAY6 spans laughing in insomnia (2023), when the rain stopped following me (2024), and 1 (2025).

eaJ — born Jae — debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment as lead guitarist and vocalist of DAY6. He spent about six years touring internationally before departing in 2021. He grew up across Buenos Aires, Korea, Canada, and California, and appeared on K팝스타 before his idol career began.

In 2020, he publicly disclosed a panic disorder diagnosis. That same year he started uploading original music to YouTube and SoundCloud. He also launched From Friends, a project that raised $100,000 (approximately 130 million won) for free mental health services aimed at teenagers and young adults. The October EP sits in that same territory.
