ILLIT earns Gold certification in Japan for 'I Got Your Back,' three days after release
ILLIT's second Japanese single hit 100,000 cumulative shipments in three days, earning Gold from the Japan Record Association after its July 29 release.

Two consecutive Gold singles now. Their first Japanese single, Toki yo Tomare, released in September last year, earned the same recognition. I Got Your Back matched it almost immediately.
The single hit #1 on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking dated August 8, in its second week on the chart. The tracklist includes the title track, a Korean-language version, and Sunday Morning, the opening theme for season 2 of the Japanese anime Princess "Punishment" Time. The title track is described as a song about girls growing through repeated contemplation.
ILLIT's Japan certification run extends further. Their debut track Magnetic has surpassed 200 million cumulative streams and holds Double Platinum status. Japanese original track Almond Chocolate sits at Platinum with 100 million streams. Lucky Girl Syndrome earned Gold at 50 million streams.
The group is building real momentum in the Japanese market.
ILLIT is scheduled to perform at KCON LA 2026 on August 15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena.
