Lee Hye-sung, post-Jeon Hyun-moo breakup, meets her 'first love' Matt Damon — and doesn't cry

Lee Hye-sung hosted a private screening of Odyssey on August 4 through her personal channel 이혜성의 1% 북클럽, sitting down with Matt Damon and Charlize Theron. She kept it together the whole time.

"I was worried about crying when meeting my first love, but I held it together professionally," she wrote, calling Damon a crush she has had since middle school. Her verdict on the film was brief: "I won't say much. It's a masterpiece that makes you mutter, 'Ah, right. This is what a movie is like.'" (High praise from someone who clearly does not give it out easily.)

The screening adds to a growing list of A-list sit-downs on her channel. Ryan Gosling appeared there previously for Project Hail Mary.

Lee was born in 1992. She joined KBS as a 43rd-generation public recruitment announcer in 2016 and went freelance in 2020. She confirmed a relationship with broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo — 15 years her senior — in 2019. The two announced their breakup in 2022.
