Red Velvet's 'Velvet Summer' hits #1 in 17 regions on iTunes, tops multiple China charts

Red Velvet's summer mini album Velvet Summer is charting hard. It claimed #1 on iTunes Top Albums in 17 regions, with Australia and Brazil joining the list most recently. The album landed in the top 10 across 33 regions total.

In China, it swept three separate charts: #1 on QQ Music's digital album sales chart, #1 on Kugou Music's digital album sales chart, and #1 on Tencent Music's integrated K-pop chart across all five platforms. QQ Music awarded Velvet Summer its Gold Album certification, which requires sales exceeding 250,000 yuan.

Member Joy appeared at a music broadcast (she captioned it simply "엠카" on her SNS on the 7th) in a sky blue silk halter neck crop top with a large rose detail and white skirt. The outfit caught attention, but the chart run is what really matters here.
