SEVENTEEN's DK bids fans farewell ahead of September 8 military enlistment

SEVENTEEN's DK (Lee Seok-min, 28) enlists in the Army on September 8. His parting shot: a photo with unit partner Seungkwan and four words—"Dosung, see you soon"—a nod to the DK x Seungkwan pairing that's carried him through a relentless stretch.

The timing lands after one of the most packed runs of his career. The Dokyeom x Seungkwan unit wrapped their 'DxS [소야곡] ON STAGE' live tour across five cities. Incheon in April. Chiba, Daegu, Macau, and Kaohsiung in July. Combined on- and offline attendance hit roughly 130,000. Their cover of 'Betelgeuse' (베텔기우스) topped YouTube trending in Korea and Japan and crossed 10 million views in about seven months. The unit released mini album 소야곡 and single Feel Me during this window.

Meanwhile, DK spent late July as MC at the production showcase for SBS variety program 내 남은 연애 (My Remaining Romance)—his first time hosting a romance reality format. In January 2026 he performed '나는 나비' and his own solo track at band YB's Daejeon concert.

DK debuted with SEVENTEEN in 2015 on mini album 17 CARAT. A 2016 runner-up finish on King of Mask Singer (under the alias '금 나와라 뚝딱 아기도깨비'). A 2017 digital single 한편의 너. Two runs as Arthur in the musical Aether at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater and Blue Square Shinhan Card Hall in 2019 and 2021. SEVENTEEN's fifth full-length album HAPPY BURSTDAY dropped May 26, 2025.
