Yeji keeps her solo and world tour momentum going into 2026

Yeji (황예지) is not slowing down. On August 10, she posted a backstage photo—standing beside a stage curtain, turned slightly toward the camera—with the caption "가장 나다운 순간" (the moment most like myself). A quiet signal that she's exactly where she wants to be right now.

The timing matters. ITZY just released their 2026 mini album Motto, a five-track project that gives each of the group's five members—Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna—their own solo track alongside the title song, which centers on a message of gratitude toward fans. The group is also mid-run on TUNNEL VISION, their third world tour across multiple cities globally.

For Yeji, this era follows her 2025 solo debut with mini album AIR. The project included the title track "Air," "Crown On My Head," and "Focus." She took writing and composition credits on select tracks. That step widened her profile beyond performance. She holds the main dancer, lead vocalist, and sub-rapper positions in ITZY, a workload she's carried since the group's February 2019 debut with digital single IT'z Different.

Before debut she appeared briefly in the tvN drama 두번째 스무살 and competed on music variety show 더 팬 in 2018. Nine title tracks later—WANNABE, 마.피.아. In the morning, UNTOUCHABLE—she's now the one setting the caption.
