The finale that left a knife in the photo

Chaebol X Detective 2 aired its final episode on September 19 on SBS, closing out the Friday-Saturday slot with a resolution — and a deliberate loose thread.

An Bo-hyun's Jin Lee-soo and Jung Eun-chae's Joo Hye-ra brought down serial killer Yoo Seong-won, played by Yoo Seung-ho, through a live broadcast trap. The case wrapped. Jin Lee-soo, Joo Hye-ra, and the Major Crimes Unit 1 team received official commendations and departed on award leave.

Then came the final scene. A bloodied, unidentified man named Kim Ji-hoon studied a group photo of Jin Lee-soo's crew and drove a knife into Jin Lee-soo's face in the picture. Open ending. No resolution. (Season 3 bait, essentially.)
