One stage, then gone
Do Kyungsoo took the Guitarist stage on KBS2's Sung Sikyung's Eargasm Boyfriend on September 12. That's it. With an EXO tour and drama filming both locked in, he told the show there won't be any other live performances of the track.
It was the world premiere of Guitarist, pulled from his new album Dopamine. The album's concept is "dark sexy" — and Kyungsoo didn't dance around it: "This is what I wanted to do, what I want."
On the album title, he explained: "I thought it would be nice if many people got a lot of dopamine when they heard this song."
Jazz is next on his list
Host Sung Sikyung steered the conversation toward what comes next. Kyungsoo answered without hesitation: "I really want to challenge jazz. Always." He wants to make it happen on his next album specifically.
Sung Sikyung had praise for Kyungsoo's performance of 너의 모든 순간 (Every Moment of You). "I feel the heart of such an innocent man, and it's good," he said. "The lyrics are well heard, and rather than flashy techniques, the emotion is heard as is. It was very good to listen to."
Sung Sikyung also promised to cover Kyungsoo's track Popcorn during the opening of the next Eargasm Boyfriend episode. Popcorn has been re-charting two years after its release, gaining traction as a popular wedding march song. That timing isn't random — the song has real staying power.
