Im Young-woong crossed 14,506.53 million cumulative streams on Melon as of the morning of September 15. That's 17 days after hitting 14.4 billion on August 29. One hundred million plays in under three weeks. He still holds the all-time #1 cumulative streaming position among all artists on the platform.
He's also a member of Melon's Diamond Club, reserved for artists who clear 10 billion lifetime streams. He's now 4.5 billion past that threshold.
'IM HERO 10' — the album behind the numbers
The latest surge traces back to IM HERO 10, a 10th-anniversary special digital album released August 8. It has 10 tracks: six new songs and four remakes. The new material includes title track 또또, 모이세, Baila, 부디 행복해질 것, 살아온 우리에게, and New York. Im Young-woong co-wrote and co-composed 또또 himself.
또또 debuted at #1 on the Melon HOT100 immediately after release. The chart impact spread across the full album. 또또, last year's 순간을 영원처럼, and new album cuts 모래 알갱이 RE, 살아온 우리에게, and 사랑은 늘 도망가 RE all entered the Melon TOP100 simultaneously. Every track on the album reached the upper tiers of Melon, Genie, and Bugs.
Ten years from '미워요'
