Ji Ye-eun and dancer Bata to wed December 12 — Running Man cast celebrated on set

Actor Ji Ye-eun announced on September 2 via SNS that she is getting married. "This is a precious and valuable promise," she wrote, "so I worried about when and how to tell you. I'm getting married."

Bata (바타), a dancer born in 1994, shares Ji Ye-eun's birth year. They met at church, grew close through shared interests and faith, and confirmed their relationship publicly in April on the day of Running Man's 800th episode recording. The wedding is set for December 12 at an undisclosed Seoul venue—Bata's birthday. Agency CP Entertainment said the couple "promised to share each other's lives together, based on deep trust."

Running Man cast threw a surprise on set

On September 7, before opening-segment filming, all six Running Man members gathered to celebrate Ji Ye-eun on set. Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Seok-jin, Kim Jong-kook, Ha-ha, Song Ji-hyo, and Yang Se-chan were all there. The September 6 broadcast had already marked the news with on-screen text: "Performance of a bride-to-be who captured both dance and love" and "Dance lesson from Ye-rang who sees the light." Yoo Jae-suk called for an impromptu dance from Ji Ye-eun. Yang Se-chan said "Bata's girlfriend is indeed different." Ji Seok-jin joked that her dancing improved after meeting Bata. Ha-ha kept it simple: "You did the best."

The celebration footage airs in Running Man episode 820, scheduled for September 13 at 4:50 PM—a time-slot shift caused by Asian Games coverage. Episode 820 features guests Choi San and Han Ji-eun.

The badminton tip-off

On September 7, actor Jeong I-rang appeared as a guest on SBS Love FM's Yu Min-sang's Hungry Radio and revealed she'd spotted the couple long before the announcement. "I already knew. I knew a long time ago," she said. Her family had gone to a park to play badminton when she noticed "a handsome man and beautiful woman playing badminton without drinking alcohol, healthily." It was Ji Ye-eun and her fiancé. "They were together even at a late hour," Jeong added. "I recognized them from that time."
