Lee Mi-joo Says She's "Ready for Marriage — Just Missing the Man"

"Everything is ready except for the man"

Lee Mi-joo, formerly of Lovelyz, dropped an unexpected confession on her YouTube channel 그냥 이미주 on September 25: she's actively preparing for marriage. At Gyeongbokgung Palace during filming, she approached a couple and told them, "I'm also preparing for marriage — everything is ready except for the man. I'm looking for a man."

The video, titled 한국의 미로 경복궁 접수하고 왔습니다, also featured a reunion with Park Sool-nyeo, a hanbok designer with 48 years of experience. Park had fitted Lee in hanbok at the very start of Lovelyz's debut run.

Park Sool-nyeo's promise

Park didn't hold back. "I remembered you as being in your 20s, but you're already in your 30s," she told Lee. "It seems like you need to find a partner." Then came the direct challenge: "It would be nice if you met a partner while you're this pretty. You have to make an effort."

Lee fired back with "Where is my partner?" — and then went all in: "I will definitely get married. The whole world is helping me like this, so if I can't get married, I'm an idiot."

Park sealed it with a promise of her own. Once Lee gets married, she'll personally take responsibility for the wedding hanbok.

The context

This episode fits a pattern. Lee has been leaning into marriage prep content, recently receiving bridal management and going on blind dates through her YouTube channel. She publicly confirmed she was dating soccer player Song Beom-geun in April 2024, then announced their breakup in January 2025.
