First holiday as a married couple
Moon Geun-young, 39, posted a Chuseok greeting online—her first major holiday since marrying musical actor Jung Pyung in July. "Everyone, please have a joyful Chuseok," she wrote.
They met through the creative collective Bachi, where they worked together before becoming a couple. The marriage was marked not with a formal ceremony but a family meal with both sides present.
When announcing the marriage, Moon said: "I met someone I want to walk with on a path I always walked alone, someone I want to share the times I worried about alone with." She asked the public for "congratulations and encouragement rather than worry and concern" as they build their lives together. Jung Pyung is seven years her senior.
Career: debut in 1999, two projects ahead
Moon debuted in 1999 with the film Gil Wie-eseo. She gained wide recognition playing the young version of Song Hye-kyo in the drama Autumn in My Heart. Her filmography spans A Tale of Two Sisters, My Little Bride, Dance of the Dragon, and the stage production Empress Myeongseong.
Two projects are coming. Uri-deul-ui Ballad 2 premieres on October 5. She will also return to film for the first time in nine years through director Yeon Sang-ho's Yeto.
