ATEEZ's Choi San and Hong Joong on viral fame ahead of 'DRIP' comeback on Nov. 13
Choi San and Hong Joong stopped by MBC's '전지적 참견 시점' to discuss how viral the chest dance got—and tease their new single 'DRIP', arriving November 13.

ATEEZ previews 'DRIP' and talks triple the workload
ATEEZ's Choi San and Hong Joong appeared on episode 421 of MBC's variety show 전지적 참견 시점 on the 24th. The talk turned immediately to San's chest-dance moment and what it's done to their lives.
Hong Joong put it plainly: "I'm doing about 3 times the schedule I normally do." San's ad offers have exploded. He's "filming one for each category" now, with more campaigns still waiting to shoot.
San's best story from the taping: he stepped into his apartment elevator recently. An older man got in, stared at him, then suddenly busted out the chest dance. "I've been working out hard thanks to you these days," the man said.
Hong Joong watched San's chest 20,000 times
Hong Joong wasn't spared. "I was trapped in the ATEEZ algorithm for about two months," he admitted, estimating he'd watched San's clip roughly 20,000 times. Both said the scale shocked them. "At some point, is this popularity? We experienced it for the first time too," Hong Joong said. "This is the first time I've experienced something like this, so it feels strange."
The chest dance comes from the point choreography in BAD, released in June. San debuted with ATEEZ in 2018 and is the first idol from Namhae-eup, Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam. He weighed just 52 kg at debut. The glow-up is documented.
Host Jeon Hyun-moo watched a preview of what's next. "They're coming back with a new song soon. I'm looking forward to how much more of a fuss it will cause."
'DRIP' drops November 13
ATEEZ showed off partial choreography from DRIP on air. The single arrives November 13.
