Billboard 200 chart-toppers get government recognition
ENHYPEN received a commendation from South Korea's Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the 17th Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards, held October 29 at the National Theater of Korea in Jung-gu, Seoul. The group was recognized for contributions to the development of popular culture.
Through agency Belif Lab, the group said: "We are very happy to receive this glorious award." They credited their fandom ENGENE and everyone who has shown love for popular culture and arts. They added they will continue to present diverse music and activities to contribute to the development of domestic popular culture.
The numbers behind the recognition
ENHYPEN debuted in November 2020. Their eighth mini album THE SIN : BLISS, released in August, hit number 1 on the US Billboard 200. First-week sales cleared 2.09 million copies, making it their fifth double million-seller.
The group performed at Coachella in the United States last year. They appeared at Mexico's CAMPO MARTE event and San Diego Comic-Con 2026 this year. They are currently mid-run on world tour BLOOD SAGA, a 37-show run across 22 cities worldwide.
'THE SIN' series closes out in November
THE SIN : PARALLEL WORLD, a spin-off single, concludes the THE SIN series. The concept follows lovers confirming their fate in a parallel world. Digital release is set for November 20 at 2 PM, with the physical album following on November 23 at noon.
(Five double million-sellers in under six years is the kind of stat that tends to end up on a government plaque.)
