ILLIT drops 'Arrest Me' MV and BREAK EVEN mini album on Oct. 26
ILLIT's fifth mini album BREAK EVEN drops October 26 at 6 PM KST with its title track MV. Pre-saves have already crossed 270,000.
270,000 pre-saves before a single note drops
ILLIT's fifth mini album BREAK EVEN and the music video for title track Arrest Me (체포하겠어) arrive October 26 at 6 PM. Yoon-ah, Min-joo, Won-hee, Moka, and Iroha have been rolling out teasers since October 5, when Belift Lab posted a video to the HYBE Labels YouTube channel.
By October 7, BREAK EVEN hit No. 3 on Spotify's Pre-Save Top 10 chart. The pre-save count cleared 270,000 in roughly two weeks — all before any full audio went public.
The 'Admin Night' concept and what the challenge teaser showed
The album concept borrows from the "Admin Night" trend: friends gathering to tackle postponed chores as a way to decompress. ILLIT's version filters that through their own sensibility, as shown in the 'GLLIT' concept photos released October 6.
The challenge teasing video from October 5 previews the point choreography. Hand gestures form gun shapes and whistle-blowing motions timed to an upbeat whistle sound. Arrest Me is an electro-pop track built around that whistle hook.
Four tracks, four genres
The album spans multiple sounds. Super in Love takes an indie dance approach — dreamy over a calm beat. Pop goes Baile Funk, built around repeating "Pop Pop" lyrics with a groovy rhythm. More is Speed Garage: dynamic rhythm, rough sound, direct lyrics.
Encore shows land just before the comeback
Before BREAK EVEN promotions begin, ILLIT plays two nights at Incheon Inspire Arena on October 17 and 18 for the encore tour ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥︎' ENCORE in KOREA. Nine days separate the shows from the album drop. The concerts mark the final stop before the new album cycle kicks off.
