Jang Min-ho's '회초리' MV drops in collaboration with documentary film 'Swearing Grandmother'
Trot singer Jang Min-ho's ballad about maternal love pairs with director Hong Seung-pyo's documentary on his own mother, arriving at Megabox nationwide November 4.

A trot ballad meets a documentary about mom
On October 27, a collaboration music video dropped pairing trot singer Jang Min-ho's track Hoechori (회초리) with the upcoming documentary film Swearing Grandmother (욕쟁이 할머니).
Swearing Grandmother is a human documentary directed by Hong Seung-pyo. He pointed the camera at his own mother, Jeong Eui-man (정의만). The film opens at Megabox theaters nationwide on November 4.
Jang Min-ho wrote and composed Hoechori alongside arranger Jang Seung-yeon (장승연). The song orbits a longing for mother that only sharpens with age. One line says it plainly: "Now no matter how wrong I live, there is no one to hit me."
(The word hoechori means a switch or rod used for discipline — the kind a parent reaches for.)
Jang Min-ho, the trot singer behind the track
Jang Min-ho built his fanbase on Namjaneun Malhabnida (남자는 말합니다), Nae Ireum Asijyo (내 이름 아시죠), and 7beon Gukdo (7번국도). He hosts entertainment programs Jeonseolui Sanae (전설의 사내) and Trot Champion (트롯챔피언).
