Lisa drops EP 'PRESS PLAY' — her first, 1 year 8 months after 'ALTER EGO'
Lisa's six-track EP 'PRESS PLAY' dropped October 23. She's already scored a Billboard Hot 100 debut and locked in a Las Vegas residency.

Lisa's first EP lands 20 months after her debut album
Lisa released solo EP PRESS PLAY on October 23 across global platforms. It's her first EP, arriving roughly 1 year and 8 months after her debut album ALTER EGO in February of the previous year.
Six tracks make up the project: Tarantino (title track), SaWaDiKa, V12, Cobra, Cut U Off, and Sweat. On NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in September, Lisa explained the title—songs with different atmospheres stacked together like a movie. The album traces her story from her roots to now and weaves Thai cultural elements throughout.
'Tarantino' MV and the pre-release numbers
The Tarantino music video arrived with the EP. Lisa moves through a hotel to deliver a letter to filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, her stated favorite director, while performing action sequences against people blocking her path.
Pre-release single SaWaDiKa came out September 4. The title means "hello" in Thai. The music video was shot in Bangkok, Lisa's hometown, and features Muay Thai and tuk-tuks layered under hip-hop production and her rap. Within 24 hours the video hit 70.8 million YouTube views—Lisa's personal record and the highest YouTube music video debut figure of 2026. The track entered the US Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69, her highest chart entry to date.
Lisa first performed SaWaDiKa live at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she also won Best Pop for Dream from ALTER EGO. She became the first Asian solo artist to take that category. It was her fourth VMA trophy overall, following Best K-pop wins in 2022, 2024, and 2025.
What's next: Las Vegas residency
The night before the EP dropped, Lisa held the PRESS PLAY Seoul Listening Party on October 22 in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The venue was designed around a vintage Hollywood theater concept. All six tracks played for fans ahead of the official release. (Documentary film Always Lalisa, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, has also been rolling out in theaters.)
For November, Lisa has a solo residency concert—VIVA LA LISA—at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas:
- November 12–14
- November 27–29
- Six performances total
Further promotions around PRESS PLAY are planned, with Lisa set to meet fans worldwide.
Cheer the story
