Tablo Reveals Twocut's Surprise Marriage Announcement Delayed His Own by a Week
Tablo told Davichi on YouTube how his Epic High bandmate Twocut accidentally announced his own wedding first.
Twocut beat Tablo to the punch
Tablo had gathered his friends and Epic High members at a Gangnam coffee shop to announce he was marrying actress Kang Hye-jung. He never got the chance.
"Hye-jung and I were about to speak and had just stood up this much," Tablo said, "when Twocut suddenly stood up from the opposite side and said, 'We're getting married!'" The story came out on October 15 in a video titled 여사친 따라 네일샵 갔음 ft. 다비치 (roughly: "Went to a Nail Shop with a Female Friend ft. Davichi"), uploaded to Epic High's official YouTube channel. Tablo appeared alongside Davichi's Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung.
Twocut's side of the story
Twocut had a different take. "That gathering was not called by Tablo," he said. "It was a place where we all got together to hang out. I didn't know I would say something like that. My wife and I had agreed, so I just said it."
Tablo wasn't upset. He and Kang Hye-jung stayed quiet for a full week so Twocut could have his moment. "We didn't say anything for a week so that Twocut could receive congratulations," Tablo said. Twocut returned the sentiment: "I also would have postponed if Tablo had spoken first."
They both handled it well. Tablo and Kang Hye-jung married in 2009. They have a daughter, Haru.
