Kep1er's Xiaoting on variety: 9-year dancesport background, solo single, and a red-stage vow

From dancesport podiums to solo debut

Xiaoting (선샤오팅, 26) walked out in red and made her position clear: the work doesn't stop. Nine years of competitive dancesport before idol training. Kep1er's main dancer and vocalist delivered it herself: "I worked hard for two days and thank you. I will work harder."

The medals tell the story. At the 2022 Chuseok special Idol Star Athletics Championships, she scored 29.2 out of 30 in dancesport and took gold. Two years later at the 2024 edition, she won the track and field final and gold in mixed archery team—two events, two golds that day. Her Idol Star total: three golds and one silver.

The road from Girls Planet to 'LEGEND'

Xiaoting placed 9th in the final of Mnet's Girls Planet 999: The Global Girl Group. She was the only C-group contestant to debut through the show. Since then, the moves have been steady. Dance master on Boys Planet C and Boys Planet. Then Planet C: Home Race (on air from December 2025) in the same role. She's choreographed or danced with NMIXX, NiziU, tripleS, WayV, VIVIZ, H1-KEY, ZEROBASEONE, NOWZ, and FANTASY BOYS across challenge and joint content.

July 30, 2026 arrived. Digital single LEGEND dropped—Kep1er's first solo project from any member. The track is in Chinese. She also sang I Stay, the Chinese-version insert song for the film Four Rooms 2. A solo pictorial for Wonderland's January 2026 issue came through the same window. (She and Kim Chaehyun get named as Kep1er's visual line pretty often, which tracks.)

Where Kep1er stands

The group released their eighth mini-album CRACK CODE in March 2026 and operates as a reorganized six-member unit. Xiaoting's solo run sits inside that chapter—ballet background, arts school training, and all.
