Nagano Market Seoul is now permanent — Chiikawa goods haul in Seongsu

Aiko Tanaka·6/23/2026, 3:00:40 PM

Nagano Market Seoul just made the jump from pop-up to permanent shop in Seongsu, and if you're a Chiikawa collector passing through the district, it's worth a stop — though the merch strategy here is different than you might expect.

The space sits inside a Seongsu pop-up complex (연무장길 97), so the energy is mixed: you're browsing alongside other temporary vendors, but Nagano has claimed a permanent corner. The mascot Noudan-Kuma (the round, grumpy bear character) greets you at the entrance — a solid photo moment if you're documenting the trip. Inside, the shop is quieter than you'd think for a Sunday afternoon; the blogger visited on a Sunday midday and found almost no queue and plenty of breathing room to browse. Staff mentioned there's no real waiting unless a new release drops.

On the merch front: this is a Nagano-first space, so Chiikawa isn't the main draw. The Chiikawa x Noudan-Kuma collaboration pieces stock well across styles, but Angel Usagi (a popular Chiikawa variant) was completely sold out when the blogger visited; Hachi and Chii were in stock. Stickers, gacha figures, and the Noudan-Kuma mochi mascot had decent inventory. The blogger spotted textured Chiikawa pieces (a new format she hadn't seen before) and older fan-favorites like the robot bear still sitting on shelves. Specific Chiikawa series — the Angel line, the Noudan-Kuma collab — are exclusive to this Nagano location, so if you're hunting a particular piece, check their stock before making the trip.

Practical notes: the shop runs 11AM–8PM daily, with entry cutoff at 7:30PM and checkout cutoff at 7:50PM. No parking on-site; use nearby paid lots. Walk-in only — no reservation needed, and the blogger found zero wait on a weekend afternoon. The blogger's honest take: if you're a Chiikawa devotee, it's a nice detour while exploring Seongsu's pop-up scene, but unless you're after one of the exclusive Nagano-only pieces, you won't feel like you missed much by skipping it. The permanent status actually means less urgency than the original pop-up hype.

Best move: if you know exactly which Chiikawa or Noudan-Kuma piece you want and you've confirmed it's exclusive to Nagano, go on a weekday morning when the shop is even quieter. The blogger's visit on a lazy Sunday felt relaxed, but if you're tight on Seoul time, prioritize this only if you're hunting a specific item.
