Playve's Yeouido pop-up was a six-hour wait — and it's worth every second

Mina Park·7/17/2026, 3:00:31 PM

If you're a Playve fan flying into Seoul and debating whether to squeeze in this pop-up, stop debating. The Playve Caligo Part Two experience at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido is a full theme-park moment — VR, live character meet-and-greets, photo zones, and enough production value to justify the line.

The pop-up is anchored in The Hyundai Seoul's 5th floor, near Yeouido Station (Exit 1). It's running through the end of the event window (check the official Playve channels for exact closing date), and the experience splits into two main draws: the general pop-up floor and the VR experience. The general floor is walk-in, but the VR slots are ticketed — you either pre-book a time or enter the walk-in queue on-site. Either way, expect a wait; this blogger arrived on a weekday at 11AM and still spent six hours on-site, but the time moved in waves (roughly 80–100 people per hour cleared the line). The key: go early on a weekday if you can, bring a book or phone, and plan to explore The Hyundai's basement food court while you wait.

What you actually get: the main floor is a sensory overload in the best way. There are oversized member posters, massive screens looping Playve music videos, hidden member doodles scattered throughout (hunt for them), and most importantly, live character mascot appearances (Momoyo, Mememu, and Kaligo showed up during this visit). The mascots roam and interact with fans, which sounds simple but genuinely breaks up the waiting hours — this blogger watched the mascots banter with each other, play with the crowd, and keep the energy alive for hours. It's designed to feel like a theme park, not a merch stand.

The VR experience is the centerpiece. It's a three-minute, full-sensory encounter where the five members perform to a track called "Heung Heung Heung" in VR space — they approach you, make eye contact, and the production captures their heights, facial features, and movements with enough detail that fans report feeling genuinely overwhelmed. You'll wear VR goggles and sit in a designated chair; the experience is immersive enough that people exit looking shaken (in a good way). Fair warning: if you wear glasses, bring contact lenses or be prepared for discomfort — the VR headset can be tight over frames. The blogger noted that the VR slot times aren't exact; she was assigned a 4:40 time but didn't enter until nearly 5:00 due to breaks and queue flow.

Practical notes: the pop-up enforces a one-person-per-entry rule across all experiences (VR, Epic Seoul queue, etc.), so you can't have a friend hold your spot while you eat. The Hyundai's basement (B1) has solid cafés and restaurants — Five Guys, Teddy Bear (a bread café), and other spots are there if you want to kill time between queues. The blogger also mentions London Bagel being nearby for takeout if you want to picnic by the Han River afterward. Bring your Weverse QR code and ID to the VR slot — staff check both before entry.

Who this is for: hardcore Playve fans who want to experience the members in a controlled, high-production setting. If you're casual or just curious, the general pop-up floor alone (mascots, photos, merch) is worth 1–2 hours; the VR is the reason to block out a full afternoon. The wait is real, but fans consistently say it reframes their relationship to the group — seeing them in 3D space, feeling their presence — in a way that justifies the time investment. Come with snacks, a fully charged phone, and low expectations about how fast you'll move. You'll leave emotionally wrecked in the best way.
