Moon Chae-won married a non-celebrity groom on June 28 in a private ceremony at a hanok outdoor venue in Seoul. Traditional tile buildings, pine trees, and soft lighting filled the background. Only family and close acquaintances attended.
Security was airtight. The MC and congratulatory performers were never disclosed, and almost no guest photos made it out. The bride herself does not appear in any image that went public. The only glimpse came from actress Jang Hee-jin, who posted on SNS with the caption "날씨 좋아, 악의 꽃♥" alongside venue and bouquet shots. The photos show Jang Hee-jin, Lee Joon-gi, and Kim Ji-hoon — her co-stars from the 2020 tvN drama Flower of Evil — plus director Kim Chul-gyou. They reunited roughly six years after the show ended. (The four played Do Hyun-soo, Cha Ji-won, Do Hae-su, and Baek Hee-seong respectively.)
Moon first announced the marriage in April through a handwritten letter. "I wanted to directly share this news with those who have shown warm interest and support since my debut," she wrote. She felt nervous but more than that, excited about building a family together. She also said she has plans for more diverse activities going forward.
Two rumors circulated ahead of the wedding. One claimed she was marrying a younger dermatologist, which she personally denied as "not true." The other suggested she was pregnant before the wedding. Her agency, Blitzway Entertainment, called that rumor "unfounded." Moon has recently opened a YouTube channel and plans to continue acting after marriage.
