V8's debut mini album drops June 29 with 8 tracks. A DJ-format pre-listening party hits Seoul on the 28th, followed by concerts in Goyang and Hong Kong in July.
SEVENTEEN unit V8 — DI-EIGHT and VERNON — release their first mini album, V8, on June 29.
June 28 brings a pre-listening party at Grainhouse in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. This isn't your standard playback session—it's a full DJ party. DI-EIGHT laid out the vision on web variety show Salon Drip: "I wanted to give the audience an experience where they could feel DJ culture well."
Eight tracks. The concept keyword is "consumed youth"—wandering and confusion bleeding into recovery and growth. DI-EIGHT's solo cut is 8DM; VERNON's is 미아 (Mia). German DJ and producer Mechatok contributed a playful sensibility to the project. The unit's logo stacks symbolism: the Chinese character 八 (eight) for DI-EIGHT's number, and VERNON's initial V rendered as 人 (person). V8 becomes a human story.
The singasong challenge already pulled over 75 million plays on Instagram before release.
First live stage: July 2 on Mnet's M Countdown. The concert run, titled 2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE, opens July 11–12 at KINTEX Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Then Hong Kong's AsiaWorld Expo Hall for three nights, July 17–19. Five shows across two cities in one month.
