Yoon Jong-shin's June release '지중해 (Mediterranean)' came from a tvN cruise ship—written while filming a travel show.

Yoon Jong-shin released 지중해 (Mediterranean) on June 30 at 6 PM. It's the June installment of his 월간 윤종신 (Monthly Yoon Jong-shin) series, available across major streaming platforms.
The song captures a moment between two strangers on a night sea, sharing stories and comfort. It fits into two of Yoon's running collections: his 'travel' series and his 'transportation' series. The 'departure' theme has threaded through his work for years.
He wrote it aboard a Mediterranean cruise last year while filming for the tvN program 알아두면 쓸데없는 지구별 잡학사전: 지중해. "I imagined what it would be like to meet a stranger on such a large ship," he said, "and what would happen if two people who just met talked to each other and shared their stories."
Back in 2020, his Stranger Project (이방인 프로젝트) taught him something. "One thing I learned for certain while doing the Stranger Project in 2020 is that I love departure itself," he said. "I also think that the place I leave for could become my new sanctuary."
Travel will keep anchoring his work. He's already made plenty of travel songs, and the theme shows no signs of stopping. (At this point, it's less a promise than a fact of his catalog.)
Yoon Jong-shin is signed to Mystic Story.
