CORTIS dropped a Memphis-influenced digital single on July 31, hours before taking the Lollapalooza Chicago stage.

CORTIS released MOTION (feat. Juicy J) as a surprise digital single on July 31. The group performed at Lollapalooza Chicago the next day.
The track pulls from the Memphis sound—that repeating-beat, hook-heavy strand of 1990s Southern hip-hop. CORTIS members wrote and composed it themselves. The title MOTION represents movement into a bigger stage, according to the group's agency, with lyrics about crossing generational and cultural boundaries.
Juicy J's involvement goes beyond a guest verse. "Working with Juicy J was not a simple meeting, but a process of understanding and respecting each other's music over a long time and building deep trust," CORTIS said. The relationship has been "consistently maintained since before debut."
The Big Hit Music group previously drew attention with 레드레드 from their second mini-album.
The Lollapalooza Chicago set aired August 1 (local time). Fans outside the US caught it via live stream on Weverse and other fan platforms starting at 5:05 AM KST on August 2, running for 50 minutes.
