Im Young-woong's 'IM HERO 2' hits 1.3B Melon streams in 6 days; debut album crosses 4.6B

Im Young-woong is in his 10th year since debut. The numbers speak for themselves.

IM HERO 2, his second regular album, crossed 1.3 billion cumulative streams on Melon six days after release. In May it had hit 1.2 billion. By early July it had added another 100 million.

No physical copies shipped with this one. Digital audio only. Three years and three months had passed since IM HERO, his first regular album.

That debut landed in May 2022 and reset the scoreboard. First-week sales: 1.1 million copies. No solo male artist in South Korea had ever moved that many in a week. Four years later the album keeps climbing—it recently surpassed 4.6 billion cumulative Melon streams, adding 100 million since February when it crossed 4.5 billion.

Two albums. Two separate runs on the charts. Not bad for year ten.
