JAY B opens Asia tour in Bangkok with 10,000+ fans, Gulf Kanawut surprise

JAY B kicked off his solo Asia tour tape: roots with two nights at IMPACT ARENA in Bangkok on July 11 and 12. Over 10,000 fans showed up across both dates.

The set opened with go UP, then moved through FAME, B.T.W, Sweetie, and Dive Into You. Midway through, he brought out Layback from his third mini-album TR.EE—the record that landed in the worldwide iTunes album chart TOP10, with Layback itself hitting No. 1 on the iTunes Top Song chart at release. The second half featured Hush, Switch It Up, and Head To Toe.

Then Thai actor Gulf Kanawut walked out for a surprise. He and JAY B performed the collaboration stage Sweet Baby together, and Gulf added a solo turn with WHY YOU SO SERIOUS.

After the shows, JAY B spoke to the crowd: "It is truly an honor and my heart is moved to be able to share the start of the Asia tour with about 10,000 fans in Bangkok." He promised to "repay you with the best music and performances at every moment going forward."

The tour heads to Taipei on August 2, Hong Kong on August 8, and Tokyo on September 2.
