So Ji-sub's SBS revenge thriller 'Kim Bu-jang' rocketed from 9.5% to 15.7% viewership in one night, becoming the network's highest-rated drama of 2026 after just two episodes.

So Ji-sub is back on SBS — and the numbers are already talking.
Kim Bu-jang, the 10-episode revenge action drama airing every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM, opened to a 9.5% viewership rating in its first episode. The next night it hit 15.7%. A 6.2 percentage-point jump in a single night. That's the fastest viewership acceleration for an SBS drama since Penthouse 3 in 2021.
Two episodes in, it's already the highest-rated SBS drama of 2026. The show also landed 3rd on Netflix's Global TV Shows chart and topped the platform in eight countries: South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
So Ji-sub plays Kim Bu-jang, a former North Korean operative who buried his skills long ago. His daughter Min-ji vanishes. The disappearance drags him back into action against a larger evil in what the show calls a "universe revenge action drama." Choi Dae-hoon and Yoon Kyung-ho co-star.
This is So Ji-sub's first SBS project in 13 years. The reunion is going well.
