Song Ha-ye's 밤하늘의 별을 (2026 ver.) crossed 1 million YouTube views five days after its June 25 release. The numbers kept climbing.

By the morning of July 1, the music video had landed at No. 2 on YouTube Music's daily popular music video chart. It also ranked No. 5 on YouTube Music's trending music chart and No. 25 on the daily popular Shorts chart. Spotify's Top 50 – South Korea placed it at No. 13.

The single carries the full title 밤하늘의 별을(2026 ver.) X 사랑 첫 번째 이야기. It's the first track in Song Ha-ye's new music project 사랑 이야기 (Love Story). She plans to release tracks sequentially through the project, each covering a distinct moment across a love story — the beginning, confession, trust, and blessing. (A full remake series structured like a narrative arc is a different kind of bet, and the chart data suggests it's landing.)

Song Ha-ye will perform the track live at her solo concert WHITE SONG 3 on July 19 at Hongdae Gureum Arae Small Theater. The set will include 밤하늘의 별을 (2026 ver.) alongside her other representative songs.
