Singer Song Ha-ye announced her marriage to creator Jo Mae-ryeok on Aug. 25—a month after her agency denied engagement rumors.

Song Ha-ye confirmed her marriage on August 25 via SNS. A month earlier, her agency had flatly denied she was engaged.
The reversal was swift. On July 27, she posted wedding dress photos with the hashtag '결혼' (marriage). Her agency said the dress was for content filming. Song Ha-ye then changed the hashtag to '행복' (happiness). Now those photos make sense.
Her fiancé is Jo Mae-ryeok, a creator and singer who leads Annoying Box, an 18-member big band project. He has 1 million subscribers through travel and music content.
In her announcement, Song Ha-ye wrote: "I have long waited for someone to share my life with, to build a small heaven-like home where we laugh together on happy days and support each other on difficult days."
She continued: "I met someone who cherishes me as I am and stands by me at any moment, and I am getting married this year."
Song Ha-ye emerged through K-pop Star Season 2 and other audition programs. She debuted in 2014 with tracks including 니 소식, 새 사랑, and 떠날거면 날 사랑하지나 말지. No wedding date beyond "this year" has been shared.
