Sunmi returns with new digital single 'Forever July' on July 15

Sunmi releases new digital single Forever July on July 15, 2026. The 33-year-old former Wonder Girls member is back with a summer-timed comeback.

The single follows HEART MAID, her first full-length album from 2025, and prior single BLUE!. Before that came mini albums Full Moon, WARNING, and 6분의1.

Sunmi debuted in 2007 with Wonder Girls on single album The Wonder Begins. Yubin, Ye-eun, and Hyelim were there too. Her solo chart record since going independent speaks for itself: 24시간이 모자라 (2013) hit #1 on Melon's real-time chart and swept multiple music source all-kills. 보름달 (2014) gave her her first music broadcast #1. 가시나 (2017) racked up five or more music broadcast wins and became the defining track of her solo run. 주인공 (2018) took consecutive #1s on M Countdown, Show! Music Core, and Inkigayo for a total of four broadcast wins. Siren from the 2018 single album WARNING — a self-composed track — logged six music broadcast #1s and a perfect all-kill on iChart.

(Summer digital single after a full-album year is a clean reset, and the chart history alone sets the bar high.) Forever July marks her return to solo activity.
