Dal Subeen drops 'YESx4', her first single after leaving previous agency

Dal Subeen (달수빈) is out from under her old agency. The singer-songwriter releases YESx4 (예스 바이 포) on August 22 at 6 PM through online music platforms, her first single since her contract ended.

It's a medium-tempo future house and progressive house track. Dal Subeen wrote, composed, and produced it entirely on her own. She also directed the music video—an animated two-parter following a protagonist granted eternal life who sets out on a journey to return to human form.

"Based on my DJ experience, I completed an energy-filled song where the audience and I can become one and enjoy together," she said. The lyrics carry a message she described as the one answer she has found through music: "No matter how many times I break, I eventually run forward again."

The live debut happens the same day as the release, at the Cass Cool Festival held at Seoul Land. She expects YESx4 to become a regular fixture on her DJ SUVIN sets going forward.

Dal Subeen debuted in 2011 as a member of girl group Dalshabet (달샤벳) and moved into solo work in 2016. She's since expanded into entertainment appearances and DJ activities alongside her music career. Writing, producing, directing two MVs, and booking a festival live debut all on the same day is a lot.
