Ha Yun-kyung on cat savings, solo gukbap drinks, and four projects lined up

Ha Yun-kyung has a savings account for her cats. Not for herself. When asked if she keeps one, she said no.

She appeared on episode 412 of MBC's Omniscient Interfering View on August 22, walking viewers through a life organized almost entirely around her two cats, 제제 (Jeje) and 다다 (Dada). Cat towers occupy her living room and study. The bedroom holds hiding houses and scratchers. Her mornings start with clearing cat hair. "If it ends up in my food, I just eat it," she said. The veterinary savings account has been running five years.

She also holds a Pilates certification. "I wanted another job as insurance," she explained. "A certification felt reassuring." Her manager noted she skips salads entirely, preferring old-school 국밥 joints. On a provincial trip, she ate pork blood sausage soup.

A solo dining scene became the episode's standout moment. She ordered 내장탕 and soju at a local restaurant. 양세형 remarked, "It's been a long time since I've seen a proper person like this." 홍현희 marveled that an actress would drink alone at a gukbap place. Ha's answer: "It's possible because it's a gukbap restaurant. No one pays attention."

Four projects are now confirmed. She's deep in prep for First Doctor, playing a pediatrician—practicing surgical suture tying, working through medical papers alongside scripts. She also attended the 28th Jeondongjin Independent Film Festival with her lead-role film 철들 무렵 (On the Verge of Growing Up). "Independent film is my identity," she said. "It feels like returning to my student days when I acted purely."

She spent five years without an agency. Her credits include Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Hospital Playlist, and Apartment. "As an actress who experienced being unknown, I immersed myself in the character and acted with sincerity."

The episode hit a 2.2% rating among the 2054 demographic, ranking first among entertainment programs in its time slot. The peak per-minute rating reached 4.5% during a video call scene involving Ha's mother.
