Harisu sets the record straight on 3-billion-won divorce rumor involving ex-husband Micky Jung

Harisu appeared on Ahn Sun-young's YouTube channel on the 7th to address a rumor that had stuck around for years—that her ex-husband Micky Jung lost 3 billion won in a failed business venture before their split.

"The rumor that my ex-husband lost 3 billion won in business is completely untrue," she said. The real origin was mundane. "He joked 'give me 100 million' while playing games, and that became a rumor."

They married in 2007 and divorced by mutual agreement in 2017 after ten years together. Seven or eight months before the separation, Micky Jung started a business. Watching him pour himself into it made her rethink everything. "Seeing him enjoy and immerse himself in the business, I wondered if I was holding him back," she said.

She was direct about what she'd wanted from the marriage. She never needed him to earn money—she was working, and she liked him home, caring for her. Once he got busy with the business, she felt that letting him go was the only way he could live in the world under his own name rather than as "Harisu's husband."

There was also guilt. Micky Jung was an only son, and she knew she could not have children, a fact his parents accepted when they approved the marriage. She always wondered whether they quietly hoped he would remarry and have children.

"We didn't separate because we were bad for each other," she said. "I received all the love I wanted to give and receive, so I have no regrets."
