Jungkook turns 27: idolpick birthday event, 67,212 picks, and a Seodaemun Station billboard

Jungkook's birthday is September 1. Today a congratulatory video airs on the outdoor digital billboard at Seodaemun Station in Seoul—the payoff from a fan voting campaign on idolpick that ran August 3–12.

He landed 67,212 picks in the platform's August birthday special vote. That cleared the 40,000-pick threshold and made him the event's featured artist. The 40K tier comes with a pop-up banner on the idolpick app and main webpage, an online article, and one day of billboard support at Seodaemun Station. Cross 100,000 picks and the billboard run stretches to three days including the actual date. First place in the final ranking would've added seven days of LED space in Myeongdong.

On his own, Jungkook has released Seven, 3D, and Standing Next to You outside the full group schedule. BTS reunited as a complete unit in March after roughly four years. The group is currently running the ARIRANG world tour.
